Abstract watercolor 50x40 inches on Arches paper

The watercolor is currently unframed, displayed on the second picture only to give an idea of its real size.

With these recent watercolors, I explore geometric patterns that I have been studying since one year. They give both a sense of space and a feeling of organic growth.

It's an unfolding matter, or hypercube. It is related to my handwoven work of cutting, folding and fusing, or with the movement of a dancer. I've integrated the movements directly in a single painting, suppressing perspective while creating volume and a feeling of space.
