These series of paintings were inspired by patterns after Sir Penrose’s math work. I found them interesting to illustrate the distance which occurs naturally between trees from different species, named “shyness cleft” and for which there is no clear explanation.

The pattern uses harmonic sequences and length, based on the golden number. I am using a combination of them for my figurative work. Here the effect of black and white influences the mind to imagine a landscape and its horizon.
