These series of paintings were inspired by patterns after Sir Penrose’s math work. I found them interesting to illustrate the distance which occurs naturally between trees from a different species, named shyness cleft and for which there is no clear explanation.

The pattern uses harmonic sequences and length, based on the golden number. I am using a combination of them for my figurative work. Here the effect of black and white is to let the mind create an artificial space
