Who dreams of a house in Vermont?
Watercolor 22x30 inches
Vermont is an american state full of good things, including a kind of french feeling. Maybe the love of very good food! Excellent cheeses and maple syrup for good cakes. You will also admire the magnificent american farms, barns, bridges...
With this series of watercolor, I represented what seemed to me Vermont's spirit, a resistance to winter huge snow storms, and hope for an excellent swim in the lakes during summer.
I have painted this particular watercolor using natural, handmade pigments. These pigments are harvested in New Mexico and transformed into watercolors without chemicals. Because I am allergic to chemical preservatives, I am currently exploring more traditional and less polluting ways of painting.
These pigments are fastlight, probably more than industrial pigments. Their colors are ravishingly subtle.
