In this series of still lifes, gathering images of statues and plants or animals, I am looking forward to showing what can’t be said: following the philosopher Wittgenstein.
In this particular artwork, I have represented a beetle, the exact example Wittgenstein used to show how words could not accurately represent subjective feelings as pain. A crown symbolizes the inner self, and the words are aligned in the landscape as computed squares.
